Nick Hoffman records sixth-place finish in North-South 100 prelim

Nick Hoffman and the Tye Twarog Racing team joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) over the weekend for the 42nd annual North-South 100 weekend at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.).

With preliminaries on Thursday and Friday kicking off the three-day event, Hoffman outran Garrett Alberson in his heat race on Thursday to pick up the eight-lap victory. Gunning for a $6,000 top prize in the opener, Nick ran out front early before ultimately crossing the line in eighth in the 25-lapper.

On Friday, Nick followed up a heat win with a sixth-place finish in his $6,000-to-win preliminary feature.

Hoffman’s weekend came to an early end on Sunday with lap 57 exit in the $75,000-to-win North-South 100 finale. After turning in a runner-up heat showing to lock into the main event, Nick retired with 43 laps remaining.
