Seventy-four drivers entered the program with the field divided into a pair of $10,000-to-win programs. Nick qualified ninth-fastest in time trials at the 1/2-mile oval before finishing second in his heat race to lock into the seventh-starting spot for the 25-lap feature. He ran in the Top-10 early in the feature before slipping to a 14th-place finish.
On Thursday evening the championship night came to life with a whopping $127,000 top prize on the line. Nick was positioned fourth on the heat race grid via his performance on Wednesday night. Rain that fell just before his heat race left the track narrow and hard to pass on, and Hoffman finished fourth, which left him one spot short of a transfer to the feature. He ran a b-main, which he won, to lock into the 21st-starting spot for the 100-lap finale.
Main event action found Hoffman clawing his way to a career-best, ninth-place finish at the checkered flag.
On Friday the field was reset for preliminary action for the 26th annual Dirt Late Model Dream. Nick hit the ground running with the ninth-fastest lap in his qualifying group. He followed that up with a runner-up finish in his heat race to earn the ninth-starting spot for the $10,000-to-win, 25-lap preliminary feature.
Hoffman raced in the Top 10 throughout the feature before crossing the finish line in the ninth position. Josh Bonnstetter, Cole Bents, Don Gerritsen Jr., and Jeremy Smith completed the Top-5 finishers.
On Saturday night the finale for the 26th annual Dirt Late Model Dream was held, and Nick once again transferred into the coveted finale. Starting 26th on the grid for the $126,000-to-win finale, he was an early retiree to a 26th-place finish.
